An exchange year or semester during your school years opens an incredible number of doors for you in your host country and enables you to find a second home in the world. In no other exchange program do you have the opportunity to participate so comprehensively in the life and culture of your host country and to learn so much - especially about yourself.

School year or a semester. Which duration is better for me?
The longer the student exchange lasts, the more you become part of a different world, which is why most of our exchange students spend an entire exchange year in another country. However, it is often not possible to spend an entire school year abroad due to school (or other) conditions. Semester programs are a good way to do a long-term exchange while only being away for half a school year.
The regulations in Austria stipulate that you have to go to school abroad for at least five months in order to move up to the next class. It is therefore important to clarify with your own school in Austria whether the semester will be credited in advance. Even if there is no semester program listed for your desired country, you can inquire about it separately from us.
High School special interest exchange programs, is that for me?
